These devotionals are about fully resting in our adoption into God’s Kingdom and family, and letting Jesus shepherd us through His Word
“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”
~ Jesus in John 10:27
It is easy to overlook the depth and breadth of Jesus’ beckoning to follow him into and through the Kingdom and on to our Father’s mansion:
“Follow me.” – to be baptized, as I was.
“Follow me.” – in loving others, “as I have loved you.”
“Follow me.” – as I lead you to and through the narrow gate, as your shepherd.
“Follow me.” – into the Kingdom of heaven, which is HERE and NOW.
“Follow me.” – as the first fruit of those who slept, to overcome death as I did.
“Follow me.” – to live forever with God, our father.
We tend to hear “Follow me.”, as in today, or for a few weeks or years, when in reality Jesus is saying, “Follow me.” beyond death and on into eternity.
Jesus truly is the good shepherd, and we often don’t dwell enough on where He is leading us.
